My dearest Allie,
I couldn't sleep last night because I know that it's over between us. I'm not bitter anymore, because I know that what we had was real. And if in some distant place in the future we see each other in our new lives, I'll smile at you with joy and remember how we spent the summer beneath the trees, learning from each other and growing in love. The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds, and that's what you've given me. That's what I hope to give you forever. I love you. I'll be seeing you.

Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.

V for vendetta

V: I told you, only truth. For 20 years, I sought only this day. Nothing else existed... until I saw you. Then everything changed. I fell in love with you Evey. And to think I no longer believed I could.
Evey Hammond: But I don't want you to die.
V: That's the most beautiful thing you could have ever given me.

Evey Hammond: [voiceover] Remember, remember, the Fifth of November, the Gunpowder Treason and Plot. I know of no reason why the Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot... But what of the man? I know his name was Guy Fawkes and I know, in 1605, he attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament. But who was he really? What was he like? We are told to remember the idea, not the man, because a man can fail. He can be caught, he can be killed and forgotten, but 400 years later, an idea can still change the world. I've witnessed first hand the power of ideas, I've seen people kill in the name of them, and die defending them... but you cannot kiss an idea, cannot touch it, or hold it... ideas do not bleed, they do not feel pain, they do not love... And it is not an idea that I miss, it is a man... A man that made me remember the Fifth of November. A man that I will never forget.

Valerie: It seems strange that my life should end in such a terrible place, but for three years I had roses and apologized to no one. I shall die here. Every inch of me shall perish. Every inch, but one. An inch. It is small and it is fragile and it is the only thing in the world worth having. We must never lose it or give it away. We must NEVER let them take it from us. I hope that whoever you are, you escape this place. I hope that the worlds turns, and that things get better. But what I hope most of all is that you understand what I mean when I tell you that, even though I do not know you, and even though I may never meet you, laugh with you, cry with you, or kiss you, I love you. With all my heart, I love you. Valerie.

Valerie: They took Ruth while she was out buying food. I've never cried so hard in my life. It wasn't long till they came for me.

fun facts.
  • The domino scene (where V tips over black and red dominoes to form a giant letter V) involved 22,000 dominoes, was assembled by four professional domino assemblers, and took 200 hours to set up.
LOL yuuuuuup that was crazed.... (and pointless) but still cool...
  • In the scene where V has Creedy cornered in the greenhouse, V plays Beethoven's Fifth Symphony. In Morse Code, the opening notes of this piece are "... _", or V. This is also the reason for the piece's enormous popularity in England during World War Two. (The Allied slogan was "V for Victory".)
  • "Vi Veri Vniversum Vivus Vici" ("By the power of truth, I, a living man, have conquered the universe". The word "Vniversum" is mis-spelled in the movie and original comic as Veniversum; )
As u can tell.. I'm a little crazed with this movie.

I was soooo confused about Guy Fawkes story. Never heard of this dude... Sooo I did what I had to do and wikipedia'd his ass.... Luckily for British people they captured him and hanged, drawn and quartered him before he blew up the parliament with the royal peepz. I wish we learned this stuff like world celebrations in history. Did you know them Brits celebrate 5th of November by having bonfires and fireworks? They also burn effigys of Guy Fawkes... and previously, in some cases, the pope. Is that not effed up or what? I don't know, maybe I'm biased coz I'm Catholic, but....... I mean, do people even have respect for what others worship and believe in, it's a bit more than just an opinion.......

Later I did more research on Alan Moore, original writer of the V for Vendetta comics and it blew my mind. He was trying to achieve awareness of Anarchy while the Wachowski bros (or matrix guys) wanted to portray freedom. Two complex and relatively similar themes but approached almost oppositely..... It kind of makes me want to read the comics. He's hardcore, man. Reesssspect.

Certain defects are necessary for the existence of individuality.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Life is pretty simple: You do some stuff. Most fails. Some works. You do more of what works. If it works big, others quickly copy it. Then you do something else. The trick is the doing something else.

I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right. You believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself. And sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.
-Marilyn Monroe

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run her fingers through it.
For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.

The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.

The beauty of a woman in not in a facial mole, but true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives and the passion that she shows. The beauty of a woman with passing years only grows.

Remember if you ever need a helping hand, you will find on at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself and the other for helping others.

People, even more that things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed and reedemed; never thrown away.
